Michele Greig, PhD, AICP is dedicated to the concept of serving the public interest. Her background as a Professor of English makes her a strong communicator and a consensus builder. John Nolan, Esq. Director of the Pace University Land Use Law Center calls her a "gifted" facilitator. Michele's facilitation skills have been highlighted in Dealing with Differences: Dramas of Mediating Public Disputes, by John Forester (Oxford University Press, 2009). She engages in a variety of municipal comprehensive planning tasks. She has been the consulting planner for numerous New York municipalities including the legislative and/or planning boards in the towns of Fishkill, Red Hook (where she also serves an Intermunicipal Task Force with two villages), North East, Monroe, and Lloyd and the villages of Wappingers Falls, New Paltz and Tivoli. In those capacities, she has been responsible for conducting public meetings, preparing planning and zoning documents, as well as reviews of project applications, such as proposed subdivisions, site plans and special use permits and their SEQR Environmental assessment documentation. She prepares Memoranda and other reports, attends Planning Board meetings and provides on the spot professional advise to Planning Board members. Michele is skilled in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
